Hello
I am known as the "Story Lady" at school. Whenever I enter a classroom, the kids cheer—not for me, but for their love of the stories I share with them. I believe in the intrinsic power of stories to connect and teach, as narratives are the instinctual way the human brain learns. I have a long-standing tradition of crafting engaging stories that enthrall my audiences of K-6th grade students, who then internalize many of the positive concepts I present. Stories are effective and fun!

I live in a beautiful canyon in Utah's Wasatch Range, where our family life is enriched by nature. I’ve been happily married for many years and am the proud mother of four, grandmother of sixteen, and known as "Muzzy." My interests include spending time at our cabin, horseback riding, backpacking, foraging for medicinal plants, studying archaeology, collecting rocks, and storytelling.

My Story
As an elementary school counselor, I provide personalized counseling, engaging lessons, and tailored behavioral interventions for K–5 students. With nearly two decades of experience, I create stories that help children manage their emotions. I am all about creating stories with original content designed to nurture emotional intelligence and social skills. Storytelling fosters emotional intelligence and resilience in children. Using my stories to create storybooks, I can engage more young minds with concepts that support their emotional well-being, helping them feel confident as they explore the world. I've effectively created and taught thousands of students character, social, and emotional lessons through narrative storytelling. I have also developed and implemented effective anti-bullying initiatives in my schools. The books I share are the culmination of those lessons/initiatives and are designed to inspire a positive approach to addressing bullying among young readers.
